(me working hard at target)

Hi!!!

I am Latrel Thompson, a 22-year-old Capricorn with a passion for gaming, thrifting, and discovering the perfect soundtrack for the month. I’m driven by excitement for what’s ahead and a strong belief in making the most out of every opportunity that comes my way. With a smile always ready and a laugh not far behind, I handle responsibilities with focus, confidence, and my eyes set firmly on the goal. My eagerness fuels me, not just to succeed, but to share that. I love brightening up a room, making people feel comfortable, and bringing good vibes into every space I step into.

Growing up in Brooklyn, I was surrounded by the very thing that now brings me the greatest joy… theatre. Though I didn’t fully realize it at the time, its energy and creativity were always within reach, quietly shaping my interests and passions for it. My journey really begins when I moved to Long Island to attend Adelphi University, where I pursued a BFA. In my sophomore year, I officially declared my major in Design/Tech, concentrating in Stage Management with a minor in Acting. Since that decision, I immersed myself in every facet of theatre. Whether from the vulnerability and discipline of performing to the precision and collaboration of design required behind the scenes.

During my time at Adelphi, I had the privilege of meeting incredible people and collaborating with truly talented artists and organizations that helped shape me both personally and professionally. Now, a year later after graduating, I’m embracing every opportunity that comes my way and saying yes to experiences that push me forward.

Right out of college, I headed to St. Louis to join The Muny as a Stage Management Intern for the summer. It was an out-of-this-world experience fast-paced, large-scale, and deeply rewarding. The lessons I learned there continue to guide me on my journey. Following that summer, I transitioned into a full-time role as a Production Assistant with Arizona Theatre Company. Now working in Arizona, I’m grateful to be working within a professional regional theatre environment that challenges me to grow daily.

When I’m not stage managing or immersed in theatre, you can usually find me gaming, exploring local thrift shops, or adding to my vinyl collection. And if I’m not there, chances are I’m working a shift at Target

The more I learn, the more I appreciate the intricate work that brings a production to life. Theatre has shown me the power of collaboration, dedication and creativity is unstoppable and remarkable.
